Taking and Sending Screenshots

Guide to Taking and Emailing a Screenshot

1. Taking a Screenshot

iPhone:

  • Press Side Button + Volume Up simultaneously (or Home Button + Side/Top Button for older models).
  • Screenshot appears in the bottom-left corner. Tap to edit/save, or swipe away to save automatically to Photos.


Android:

  • Press Power Button + Volume Down together (varies by model).
  • Alternatively, swipe down notification bar, tap Screenshot. Saved to Gallery/Photos.


Mac:

  • Press Shift + Command (⌘) + 3 for full screen or Shift + Command (⌘) + 4 for a selected area.
  • Screenshot saves to desktop or clipboard (add Control to copy to clipboard). Find in Finder > Desktop.


Windows PC:

  • Press PrtSc (Print Screen) for full screen or Alt + PrtSc for active window.
  • Open Paint or Photos, paste (Ctrl + V), and save as an image file.
  • Or, use Windows + Shift + S to select an area, then paste/save.


2. Emailing a Screenshot

iPhone:

  1. Open Photos, select the screenshot.
  2. Tap Share (square with arrow), choose Mail.
  3. Enter recipient (e.g., Support@gigapeak.co.uk ), add subject/description, and tap Send.


Android:

  1. Open Gallery/Photos, select the screenshot.
  2. Tap Share, select your email app (e.g., Gmail).
  3. Enter recipient, subject, and details, then tap Send.


Mac:

  1. Open Mail app.
  2. Click New Message, drag screenshot from Desktop into the email or use File > Attach Files.
  3. Enter recipient, subject, and details, then click Send.


Windows PC:

  1. Open your email client (e.g., Outlook) or webmail (e.g., Gmail).
  2. Create a new email, click Attach (paperclip icon), and select the saved screenshot.
  3. Enter recipient, subject, and details, then click Send.


Tips:

  • Ensure the screenshot captures relevant details (e.g., error messages for broadband issues).
  • Contact Gigapeak support at Support@gigapeak.co.uk if sending for troubleshooting.
